03 May 2019

JAKARTA ( - Improving service and convenience for travelers, PT Angkasa Pura II is a hotel again in terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta Airport, precisely adjacent to the car parking building.

Yesterday (05/02/2019), the manager of the 16 airports signed a hotel development agreement with the joint operation (KSO) of PT Wijaya Karya Tbk and Wika Gedung.

"Built with 150 rooms, the 3-star hotel will be operated by PT Hotel Indonesia Group. The hotel is targeted to be opened in the framework of the soft opening in 2020, "explained Director of Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin.

The capital expenditure prepared by the company for the construction of the hotel reached IDR 300 billion under the management of the Angkasa Pura II subsidiary, PT Angkasa Pura Properti.

The hotel business, said Awaluddin, is the strategy of Angkasa Pura II to boost revenues from inorganic businesses so that they are not too dependent on organic business.

"As a world-class airport operator, it must be able to take advantage of business potential from every line, not just rely on organic business, namely airport management. Angkasa Pura II's inorganic business portfolio itself is run by subsidiaries to business grandchildren. "Our revenue target for this year from inorganic business is IDR 500 billion," he explained.

In addition to hotels in the Terminal 3 Domestic area, he said, currently his company is also building a hotel in the International Terminal 3 area.

Hotels in the Terminal 3 International area will become 4-star Hotels and plan to start serving guests in November 2019.

"It's not just to go up and down the plane, Terminal 3 becomes the center of economic activity with a large commercial area, co-working space, and two hotels in the outer terminal area, plus one capsule hotel in the terminal," Awaluddin said.

In order to support the movement of the commercial area in Terminal 3, Angkasa Pura II also held various programs such as Airport Customer Rewards for customers who shop there.

The Airport Customer Reward Program has been running at the end of last year and the awarding of prizes to 29 winners was made today. Exit as the grand prize winner in the form of a Honda Civic Type R sport sedan, Donny Muhammad Faisal. (omy)
