Improve HR Quality, Angkasa Pura II in Collaboration with Monash University

23 Jul 2019, Jakarta - The manager of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) collaborated with Monash University, Australia. In this collaboration both parties signed a memorandum of understanding regarding digital economic research and airport management.

"Today we are collaborating with Monash University facilitated by the Ministry of Transportation, carrying out an MoU for cooperation in joint research and other matters," said President Director of Angkasa Pura II, Muhammad Awaluddin, in Building 600 of the Angkasa Pura II Headquarters, Soekarno Hatta International Airport, City of Tangerang, Tuesday (7/22/2019).

In addition to research, cooperation is carried out for special education programs, apprenticeship programs and other activities that support both parties. The program is superior in terms of improving digital capability or building capacity, in improving the quality of human resources in Angkasa Pura II.

"As is known, we at AP II continue to improve ourselves in the digital era. Not just adding or changing services to digital, but also to themselves," Awaluddin said.

So, it is necessary for Angkasa Pura II HR to expand global horizons, especially digital economic issues. "Therefore, aside from Monash University, we also collaborated with various parties to improve HR," he added.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding was made between Awaluddin and Professor Abid Khan, Monash University Global Engagement Leads. According to him, he wanted to provide a real example to his students with the collaboration of the Internship program which was woven with the Angkasa Pura II.

"We want to give a different experience to students at Monash University so they can understand how the actual field conditions are about the transportation system and also learn about digital digital economy issues," he said.

He also said, the Internship program is also expected to be one of the venues to exchange experiences and knowledge between the two countries. As well as being a printer of joint researchers between two countries by learning from each other.

"So we hope that we can approach the two nationalities between Australia and Indonesia," he concluded.
