REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAMBI - Grab online transportation mode in collaboration with Angkasa Pura II by conducting a soft opening Grab service at Sultan Thaha Jambi Airport. Starting today, Thursday (3/10), people have been able to use Grab online transport services to get to Sultan Thaha Airport or vice versa.
"The soft opening of this Grab is a form of our cooperation to provide land transportation facilities to the community," said Executive General Manager (EGM) Angkasa Pura II M. Hendra Irawan in Jambi, Thursday (3/10).
Hendra explained, the collaboration with Grab was part of the program that Angkasa Pura had promoted to realize a smart connecting airport. In addition, the presence of Grab at the airport strongly supports the need for land transportation, especially from the airport to the next passenger destination.
For now, the Grab fleet has access to Sultan Thaha Airport, which is only four-wheeled vehicles or cars. "For other types of vehicles such as Grab, two-wheeled vehicles are still not, we do it in stages, because we have just done a soft opening," Hendra said.
Going forward, Grab in the area will complement supporting facilities at the airport, such as waiting rooms for Grab drivers and other supporting facilities.
Meanwhile, related to the haze that has hit the city in recent weeks, Hendra Irawan admitted that it did not affect the number of passengers at the airport. During the haze some time ago, passengers at the airport were in a normal condition.
