Keeping Special Flight Smooth, Angkasa Pura II Activates Posts at 19 Airports

07 May 2020 - Starting today, special flights or exemption flights are officially opened after being permitted by the Ministry of Transportation. Some airlines such as Garuda Indonesia and Citilink start flying, while Lion Air only opens on Sunday (10/5).

PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) also activated security and inspection posts at 19 airports managed by the company. The post is equipped with health facilities to support the smooth operation of airports and airlines.

The 19 airports are Soekarno-Hatta (Tangerang), Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Kualanamu (Deli Serdang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Silangit (North Tapanuli).

Then, Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjung Pinang), Supadio (Pontianak), Banyuwangi, Radin Inten II (Lampung), Husein Sastranegara (Bandung), Depati Amir (Pangkalpinang), Sultan Thaha (Jambi), HAS Hanandjoeddin (Belitung), Tjilik Riwut (Bandung) (Palangkaraya) and Kertajati (Majalengka), Fatmawati Soekarno (Bengkulu), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Aceh), and Minangkabau (Padang).

"The activation of the command post is coordinating with other stakeholders such as the TNI, Polri, Port Health Office, local government, regional COVID-19 Task Force and other agencies. The post is expected to be able to support smooth flight and airport operations," said Managing Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin in a written statement .

The activation of this post is in accordance with Circular No. 31 of 2020 concerning Arrangements for Organizing Air Transportation During the Prohibited Period of Eid Al-Fitr 1441 H in the Context of Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation.

Another rule that forms the basis of Angkasa Pura II is Circular Letter (SE) No. 4/2020 concerning Criteria for Restricting the Travel of Persons in Order to Accelerate Handling of COVID-19 issued by the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling of COVID-19.

Homecoming activities are still prohibited, and the circular stipulates that starting Thursday, May 7, 2020, travel in or out of national boundaries and / or administrative boundaries is permitted for the travel of people who fall into the exclusion criteria and have fulfilled the exclusion requirements.

"In accordance with the circular, we support the availability of slot time if there are airlines that change flight schedules to serve passenger trips that fall within the exclusion criteria.

Specifically in Jabodetabek, flights are only conducted at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, while Halim Perdanakusuma does not serve scheduled scheduled commercial flights, "Awaluddin continued.

Meanwhile related to flight tickets, based on SE No. 31 of 2020 issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, not sold at the airport.

Based on SE No. 4/2020, stated in the criteria for travel exclusion are trips of people working in government or private institutions, which provide acceleration services for handling COVID-19, defense services, security, and public order; health services, basic needs services, basic service support services, and services of important economic functions.

Exclusion criteria also include travel for patients who need emergency health services or travel for people whose core family members are seriously ill or have died.

Then, the repatriation of Indonesian Migrant Workers, Indonesian citizens and students who are abroad and the repatriation of people for special reasons by the government to the area of ​​origin, in accordance with applicable regulations.
