Latest news about PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero)
Kumparan.com - PT Angkasa Pura II is working on a protocol to anticipate the new normal scenario in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is in accordance with the Minister of SOE letter number S-336 / MBU / 05/2020.
PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the implementation of the protocol in the airport environment would prioritize services with information technology and pay attention to physical distancing.
AP II manages around 19 airports in Java and Sumatra. One of them is Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
"For example, PT Angkasa Pura II personnel at the airport will be equipped with special uniforms or PPE, then biometric systems can be used in conjunction with aviation service, safety and security. Then airlines and passengers will be directed to use self check-in kiosk, mobile check-in and web check-in, compared to coming to the check-in counter, "Muhammad Awaluddin said in a written statement, Sunday (5/17).
In addition, the protocol will also touch on commercial tenant activities such as the obligation for tenants to provide hand sanitizers, as well as the application of cashless transactions using cards or electronic wallets. In service also applies physical distancing procedures.
Awaluddin said the timeline for implementing the New Normal protocol would be submitted to the SOE Ministry on May 25, 2020.
However, he stressed that the implementation of the protocol depended on official government decisions or the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19.
"There is no exact date for the implementation of this protocol, both regarding when employees must return to work from the office and criteria for who should work in the office," said Muhammad Awaluddin
Awaluddin made sure it was ready to anticipate the New Normal scenario if applied. The reason is that for the past 4 years the development of 19 airports under AP II has led to digitization to realize smart digital airports in Indonesia.
Currently PT Angkasa Pura II has also made a number of operational adjustments so that all of the company's airports continue to operate to support various programs to overcome COVID-19.
