REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II (Persero) conducted a trial of the Travelation application at 19 airports under its management. The application can be used by prospective aircraft passengers to digitally check flight documents while traveling in the Covid-19 pandemic conditions.
"Passenger planes welcome Travelation because it can make strict flight procedures can be carried out simply, where until now the number of users registering on Travelation has reached 15 thousand users," Awaluddin said in his written statement, Wednesday (6/24).
At this time airplane passengers must still carry flight documents to be allowed to travel. These documents such as identification such as KTP, flight tickets, and letter of rapid test results (valid for a maximum of three days on departure) or PCR test (valid for a maximum of seven days on departure).
With the application, Awaluddin said prospective passengers would be able to upload the three documents. Prospective passengers can do the process through travelation.angkasapura2.co.id to be digitally checked by the administrator. After checking, prospective passengers will get a QR Code to be verified at the airport.
Awaluddin ensures that the digital checking process can shorten time at the airport because long lines at the airport can be avoided. "Flight procedures are still strictly enforced, but can be carried out more simply. During this trial period, original PCR test results or rapid tests will also be verified at the departure terminal," Awaluddin said.
He added, the Travel Application was also connected to a Health Alert Card which had to be filled in by airplane passengers and digitally checked by the Ministry of Health's Port Health Office (KKP Ministry of Health). In addition, the Care Protect application is also connected to Travelation.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of the Indonesian National Air Carriers Association (INACA) Denon Prawiraatmadja said Travelation was one solution to foster aircraft passenger confidence amid the pandemic. Denon said, procedures with health protocols must be carried out without exception.
"The airline sees this Travelation as a solution so that passengers are easy when undergoing the procedure," said Denon.
Meanwhile, Managing Director of Citilink Indonesia Juliandra Nurtjahjo said that the smooth flight and aspects of service to passengers can be maintained with Travelation. Juliandra said, customer experience is very important in the world of aviation.
"We believe that Travelation can maintain the customer experience at the point of departure so that airplane passengers can fulfill the procedure well," explained Juliandra.
In addition, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir also encouraged digital utilization to be improved. This was done in order to restore the stretching of the economy in Indonedia during the Covid-19 pandemic while maintaining the health protocol.
