PT Angkasa Pura II Has Served More Than 11 Thousand Pilgrims Candidates

TANGERANG - A number of airports under the management of PT Angkasa Pura II began serving flights departing for Indonesian pilgrims to the Holy Land since July 17, 2018.

The Angkasa Pura II airports that become the embarkation of Hajj in 2018 are Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), Minangkabau International Airport (PDG), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport (PLM), Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport (BTJ) and Airports Internasional Kualanamu (KNO).

"During the period of July 17-22, we have served as many as 36 flight groups with a total of 11,448 prospective pilgrims through 5 AP II airports which have become hajj embarkations," said President Director of Angkasa Pura II, Muhammad Awaluddin.

Angkasa Pura II will fly prospective pilgrims with a total of 170 groups of 5 embarkations. The number of each group from Jakarta (CGK) totaling 101 flight groups, Padang (PDG) with a number of 16 fleets, Palembang (PLM) will fly 19 fleets, Aceh (BTJ) as many as 12 flight groups, and Medan embarkation (KNO).

During the 2018 Hajj season, there is a new immigration facility for prospective pilgrims at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, where the Saudi Arabian government counts pre-clearances to verify data and visa stamps since at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. This will make it easier for prospective pilgrims from Indonesia who no longer need to make immigration clearance when entering Saudi Arabia. This data verification and visa stamp is located in the holding room at the Sub Terminal 2 E. arrival area.

"PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) continues to strive so that the implementation of the pilgrimage transportation runs smoothly. All facilities at the AP II airport have been prepared in welcoming this year's Hajj. "We hope that the pilgrims can carry out their worship smoothly, safely, and comfortably," said Awaluddin.
