PT KAI's Managing Director, Edi Sukmoro, explained that the airport train has an operational time of 06.15 to 18.35 with a frequency of 10 trips per day. The length of the route is 25 km past 4 stations, with the route Padang - Tabing - Duku - Minangkabau International Airport (BIM). Awaluddin added that the price imposed by the train was quite affordable, namely for the Padang route - BIM was only charged Rp.10,000, - for Padang - Tabing and Padang - Duku for Rp.5,000.
