Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) together with PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Sarinah (Persero), AirNav Indonesia, PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) and PT INKA (Persero) in synergy to form a Cross-Enterprise BUMN Flood Handling Team for the Tangerang region.
The team is part of the BUMN Cross Flood Management Team in 10 regions, namely East Jakarta, North Jakarta, South Jakarta, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, Bekasi, Karawang, Bogor, Tangerang and South Tangerang.
The entire team was formed by the Ministry of SOEs under the coordination of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) with the aim, among others, to help local communities restore environmental conditions after the flooding due to heavy rains that flushed Jabodetabek a few days ago.
BUMN Minister, Erick Thohir said, "We coordinate with BNPB to be able to assist the community in restoring their respective environmental conditions. In addition, several SOEs also handed over assistance ranging from logistics to medical devices. This is in accordance with the direction of the President so that we coordinate actively in saving the community. "
The SOE Cross Flood Management Team for the Tangerang Region established the Main Command Post at Airport City in Teluknaga sub-district, or is located behind Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
The Main Command Post will distribute assistance to flood affected communities in 5 districts namely Batu Ceper, Cipondoh, Neglasari, Teluk Naga and Kosambi.
On this day, Friday, January 3, 2020, the BUMN Cross Flood Management Team for the Tangerang Region distributed aid in the form of rubber boats, water pumping machines, blankets, baby diapers, clean water, food and beverages, toiletries, tarpaulins, sanitary napkins and so forth .
In addition, assistance from health workers such as doctors and other experts is also deployed in areas affected by flooding.
Aid was symbolically given by the President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin to the Tangerang Regency Regional Secretary Moh. Rasyid Maesyal at Teluk Naga Evacuation Post.
"We will work together and work together with all stakeholders to help the community recover its environmental conditions. We also send personnel such as doctors and personnel with other special abilities to the location to always help the flood victims. To date there have been 15,232 residents affected by flooding in these 5 sub-districts, and it is hoped that the assistance provided by the Inter-BUMN Flood Management Team can ease the burden on residents.
The synergy between BUMNs in handling floods is also in line with President Joko Widodo's direction so that all parties work hand in hand to help residents.
