Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) informed that on Thursday, May 14, 2020, there had been a queue of prospective aircraft passengers at the travel document checkpoint located at Terminal 2 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 04.00 WIB, where then at around 05.00 WIB has not happened again the queue until now.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Senior Manager Branch Communications & Legal Febri Toga said PT Angkasa Pura II's personnel had made full effort to arrange the queue but there were quite a lot of potential passengers in Terminal 2 Gate 4.

"The queue at the document verification post occurred at 04.00 WIB, where prospective passengers have airplane tickets for flights between 06.00 - 08.00 WIB. Between these hours there are 13 flights with almost the same departure, namely 11 Lion Air Group flights and 2 Citilink flights. "

"As is known, at the time of exemption in this flight restriction, prospective passengers must verify the completeness of documents as a condition for being able to process check-in. Document verification is carried out by joint personnel from a number of agencies included in the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 at the inspection post, "explained Febri Toga.

As for the verified documents as a condition for prospective passengers to be able to process check-in including flight tickets, official certificates, COVID-19 free letters, and other documents as stated in Circular No. 4/2020 concerning Criteria for Restricting the Travel of Persons in Order to Accelerate Handling of COVID-19 issued by the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling of COVID-19.

"At present there are no more queues at Terminal 2. We always try to maintain physical distancing in every area. The implementation of physical distancing in Soekarno-Hatta will also be evaluated periodically to see the current situation and conditions that are quite dynamic, "said Febri Toga

Febri Toga said that in the future the flight departure schedule will also be arranged.

"All stakeholders will conduct an evaluation to arrange flight schedules so that no one is close to each other," explained Febri Toga.

All airports of PT Angkasa Pura II always operate by referring to the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 18/2020 concerning Transportation Control in the Context of Preventing the Spread of COVID-19.
