Document Examination Is Strictly Performed in Soekarno-Hatta, Majority of Passengers Depart in the context of Official Travel

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) and stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport are committed to fulfilling the provisions in Circular No. 04/2020 concerning Criteria for Restricting the Travel of Persons in Order to Accelerate Handling of COVID-19.
 
One of the provisions is the existence of exclusion criteria, or criteria for people who can travel, namely those who work in government or private institutions in the field of: acceleration handling services COVID-19; defense, security and public order; health; basic needs; basic service support; and important economic functions.
 
Then, travel is also allowed for patients who need emergency health services or nuclear family members affected by the disaster. Furthermore, it is also permissible for Indonesian citizens to return to the country on a repatriation flight to then continue to the area of ​​origin (connecting flight). Travel can also be carried out by VIP / VVIP and representatives of foreign countries.
 
Everyone who enters these criteria must attach documents as stated in SE 04/2020 to be allowed to travel.
 
As for the application in the field, for example at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, examination of prospective aircraft passenger documents is carried out at the airport by stakeholders including the Port Health Office (KKP), airlines, and other institutions.
 
Executive General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Agus Haryadi said, most of the departing passengers were those who met the criteria for official travel, namely those who worked for government or private institutions in certain fields as allowed in SE No. 04/2020.
 
"In the last 10 days or on 10 to. May 19, 2020, passengers departing for official travel amid these flight restrictions each day reached 60-90% of the total number of passengers each day. Other criteria are those who need health services and Indonesian citizens who return to the country on repatriation flights and then continue flights to their area of ​​origin. "
 
"Passengers are permitted to travel by plane after receiving clearance from the CTF, and of course after undergoing various examinations including examinations of documents and physical health-related."
 
Agus Haryadi stressed that prospective passengers who had already bought tickets were also not certain that they could automatically depart.
 
"Information from the CTF, so far more than 100 people who have tickets but are not allowed to leave because the documents are incomplete, invalid certificates, or expire," said Agus Haryadi.
 
The Soekarno-Hatta Airport is always evaluating from an operational standpoint to make improvements in the implementation on the ground, including by setting new procedures as of May 15, 2020 in processing departure of domestic routes amid flight restrictions.
 
Through the new procedure, there are 4 check points for potential passengers before being allowed to board the plane. In line with the existence of new procedures and the use of masks by prospective passengers, physical distancing is maintained in Soekarno-Hatta.
 
The checkpoints are: Checkpoint I for verification of travel documents; Checkpoint II examination of documents and physical health related; Checkpoint III validation of all documents and clearance from the CTF; Checkpoint IV when the passenger checks in.
