Angkasa Pura II Employees' Union Distributes Aid to Employees in the Airport Environment
Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), manager of 19 airports in Indonesia, has allocated Rp9,739 billion to support the community and the health sector amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The funds are used to distribute groceries to the community and strengthen the completeness of medical equipment such as hazmat clothing / personal protective equipment (PPE), thermos gun, various types of masks, nurse cap, hand sanitizer, face shield, boots, to patient beds (bed), infusion pole and so on.
In addition, aid funds are also used to improve public health, for example by distributing multivitamins and milk.
As of April 2020, total aid that had been channeled was Rp4,217 billion in 12 regions where PT Angkasa Pura II's airports were operating. Following this, assistance will also be given to other areas where the airport is PT Angkasa Pura II.
As for today, Saturday, May 23, 2020, the company distributed 2,300 food packages to the community around Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Symbolically, assistance was given by PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin to representatives of 5 urban villages in Tangerang City and Tangerang Regency, located at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Community Center.
"Today 2,300 food packages are distributed, so a total of 7,000 food packages have been distributed. We hope that the assistance from PT Angkasa Pura II can ease the burden on the community in the midst of a difficult period because of this COVID-19. In addition, we also strengthen the availability of PPE and medical devices for hospitals and local governments to handle this pandemic. "

In addition to PT Angkasa Pura II, assistance was also distributed by the Angkasa Pura II Employee Union (Sekarpura 2) to employees in the airport environment.
Sekarpura 2 is raising funds and Rp1.019 billion has been collected to be distributed to 7,036 employees who need it in the airport environment managed by PT Angkasa Pura II.
