Generating innovation, maximizing production tools, and making savings are the keys to facing challenges


Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), including a subsidiary in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic this year, has implemented a business strategy to survive and maintain company stability.

This strategy is carried out by developing top line innovation, maximizing production equipment (asset maximizing) and saving operating costs (cost leadership).

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said the strategy was also supported by the 3R concept in running a business: Reconfigure the structure; Restore the unoptimal business; Replace the unimportant things.

"Through a properly implemented 3R, it can make the organizational structure and operation processes simpler, then optimize the business by doing business pivoting or looking for opportunities, and eliminating things that are not important (focus), so PT Angkasa Pura II and its subsidiaries can maintain stability amidst this pandemic. "

"Currently, Angkasa Pura II Group's revenue comes from the aeronautical business portfolio and the non-aeronautics business portfolio. The aeronautical business, such as services to airplane passengers and to airlines, is mostly carried out by the parent company, PT Angkasa Pura II. Meanwhile, the non-aeronautical business is mostly carried out by subsidiaries, ”explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

The subsidiaries of PT Angkasa Pura II are PT Angkasa Pura Solusi, PT Angkasa Pura Kargo, PT Angkasa Pura Propertindo, PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi and PT Gapura Angkasa.

Muhammad Awaluddin said that through innovation, maximizing production equipment, and making savings which were also supported by the 3R concept, the five subsidiaries in the midst of this pandemic could contribute maximally to the company's revenue.

Following are the income of 5 subsidiaries of PT Angkasa Pura II in the period January - July 2020:

PT Angkasa Pura Solusi (APS)
PT Angkasa Pura Solusi posted revenue of IDR 494.07 billion with business sectors including providing facilities at airports, parking, human resources, and retail.

PT Angkasa Pura Kargo (APK)
PT Angkasa Pura Kargo managed to earn Rp137,116 billion in revenue from the cargo and logistics business.

“The business of APK is relatively able to survive because cargo transportation is currently running well. On the other hand, APS has also made innovations by renting out its warehouses to a number of institutions, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

PT Angkasa Pura Propertindo (APP)
PT Angkasa Pura Propertindo posted revenue of IDR 81.45 billion.

Muhammad Awaluddin said that APP was prepared to manage properties in the airport area and in the near future it would open a 4-star hotel in Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi (APA)
then PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi (APA) earned Rp.18.104 billion in revenue. The company is currently preparing steps related to a strategic partnership at Kualanamu Airport.

PT Gapura Angkasa
PT Gapura Angkasa posted revenue of IDR 605.995 billion by providing services including ground handling services.
