26 Dec 2020

Jakarta - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi today, Saturday 26 December 2020, inspected the Airport Health Center at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

The Minister of Transportation arrived at around 08.00 WIB at the Airport Health Center Terminal 2 which is located at the Skytrain Station to review the process for prospective aircraft passengers in carrying out the COVID-19 test. From Terminal 2, the Minister of Transportation then headed to the Airport Health Center Terminal 3 at the SMMILE Center to see the same process.

After seeing the series of processes, the Minister of Transportation appreciated the collaboration among airport stakeholders so that the implementation of the COVID-19 test at Soekarno-Hatta Airport went smoothly.

The Minister of Transportation also appreciated the sufficient number of locations for the COVID-19 test scattered in 8 points at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, as well as 3 alternatives that aircraft passengers could choose to do the test, namely pre-order service, drive thru service and walk in service. can be distributed well.

"What AP II and KKP [Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health] and TNI / Polri have done is going well to maintain health protocols at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. We ask AP II to consistently improve services so that queues do not occur, "said the Minister of Transportation.

The Minister of Transportation said that prospective passengers who are known to have tested positive after being checked at the Airport Health Center can refund tickets.

"There are some who have tested positive, we treat them well, so the journey cannot be continued. The person concerned can reschedule the trip or get a refund at the price paid, "explained the Minister of Transportation.

In the same place, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said that if it is known that a prospective airplane passenger has tested positive, he will be directed to the isolation room / health room.

"When it is known that the rapid antigen test results of the prospective passenger aircraft are positive, the first thing to do is take the person concerned out of the Airport Health Center to be directed to the isolation room / health room.

"Then, coordination will be carried out with other related parties. What is clear, the prospective passenger is not allowed to fly, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

After that, sterilization was carried out by spraying disinfectant liquid in the Airport Health Center area.

Muhammad Awaluddin said the role of the Airport Health Center was vital in participating in supporting the implementation of testing for COVID-19, where the segment was for prospective aircraft passengers.

Airport Health Centers at PT Angkasa Pura II airports, including Soekarno-Hatta Airport, are professionally managed by competent partners, namely Kimia Farma and Indofarma.

The facilities at the Airport Health Center also meet established standards, such as sampling room standards, as well as the use of rapid tests and PCR tests that only have received distribution permits from the government.

The busiest Airport Health Center
The Airport Health Center operations are increasingly busy in the flow of the 2020 Christmas homecoming, as happened at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

The Airport Health Center at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on December 18 - December 24 2020 or in just 7 days has carried out a rapid antigen test on around 40,000 potential airplane passengers. From the tests carried out, it was found that the positivity rate was around 0.9%.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport has 8 Airport Health Center locations, and to optimize these locations, we are distributing the test implementation. Therefore, since December 21, 2020, pre-order service for the COVID-19 test has been introduced, which complements the walk-in service and drive-thru service, ”said Agus Haryadi.

"The pre-order service can provide a certainty for the test schedule [certainty] so as to increase comfort [convenient] for airplane passengers. On the other hand, pre-order service is also a means of control for PT Angkasa Pura II to distribute the hours and locations of the tests. Likewise with prospective airplane passengers, they have control to determine the test schedule, "said Agus Haryadi.

In line with this, PT Angkasa Pura II appealed to prospective aircraft passengers wishing to take a COVID-19 test at Soekarno-Hatta Airport to prefer pre-order service.

There are 8 Airport Health Center locations and 3 alternatives to get test services (pre-order service, walk in service, drive thru service), making the implementation of the COVID-19 test run smoothly at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

On December 24, 2020, prospective passengers who made the test penetrated 10,151 people or the highest number so far, but the test was still running smoothly, there were no snaking queues, let alone crowds.
