Three companies collaborate to support the recovery of the national aviation sector

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk collaborated in supporting the recovery of the national aviation sector.

The three companies ensure that airport infrastructure development and construction can continue even though the aviation sector is facing serious challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The collaboration between the three companies is carried out in a supplier financing scheme, in which Bank Mandiri provides financing facilities of Rp. 400 billion for payments to WIKA as the contractor for 4 projects at airports managed by AP II.

Through supplier financing, Bank Mandiri will first make payments according to the deadline for invoices from WIKA as the contractor.

Director of Finance & Risk Management of AP II Wiweko Probojakti said the collaboration of the three companies is a solution in maintaining airport infrastructure development in the midst of an industry that is still in the recovery stage.

"This collaboration between AP II, Bank Mandiri and WIKA is a solution on how to keep airport infrastructure development and construction able to continue in the midst of the severe challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is also to encourage the recovery of the aviation industry and as a readiness to accommodate future demands," said Wiweko Probojakti, who is usually called Dodit, during the ceremonial Cooperation of AP II, Bank Mandiri and WIKA Supplier Financing Facilities.

The projects that received Bank Mandiri's supplier financing facilities were the construction of a domestic hotel in Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, continued construction services for accessibility, widening and extension of the Banyuwangi Airport runway and the expansion of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Terminal 3 building.

Dodit said that this collaboration also greatly supports the performance of AP II.

"This collaboration supports AP II's performance in maintaining flight connectivity in Indonesia through 20 airports managed by the company. In the midst of this pandemic, all AP II airports continue to operate serving various flights, even Soekarno-Hatta Airport continues to operate 24 hours a day."

In the same place, Bank Mandiri Director of Corporate Banking Susana Indah K. Indriati said that the facilities provided by Bank Mandiri could help recovery for business actors in the airport sector and their entire ecosystem.

"This shows Bank Mandiri's commitment to continuously support the financial performance and recovery of PT Angkasa Pura II during the COVID-19 pandemic, where PT Angkasa Pura II as one of the airport operators plays an important role in connectivity and increasing tourism promotion in Indonesia."

"In addition, it is hoped that with this facility, it can support WIKA Group's liquidity in its role as a national infrastructure agent," explained Susana Indah K. Indriati.

Meanwhile, Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk Ade Wahyu said this supplier financing cooperation can ensure the development and development of infrastructure at AP II airport can continue.
