Streamlining the International Arrival Process, Soekarno-Hatta Airport Adds RT-PCR Test Locations for PPLN

Jakarta - The number of Foreign Travel Actors (PPLN) arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport has increased in recent days.

In line with this, stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport have added locations/points for sampling RT-PCR tests for newly arrived PPLNs so that health protocols can run well and the international arrival process runs smoothly.

As is known, PPLNs who have just arrived in Indonesia are required to undergo an RT-PCR test at the entry point according to the Task Force Circular No. 15/2022 and the Ministry of Transportation Circular No. 33/2022.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Agus Haryadi said Soekarno-Hatta Airport stakeholders agreed that starting today, March 28, 2022, the location of the RT-PCR test for PPLN was added to the curbside in the international arrivals area of Terminal 3 after going through the immigration and customs area. excise duty.

The existence of the RT-PCR test location on the curbside of Terminal 3 is to support the RT-PCR test location which is in the international arrivals area of Terminal 3.

The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has prepared a well-prepared RT-PCR test area on the curbside.

"Stakeholders, including AP II and the Air Task Force for COVID-19 Handling, have coordinated that starting March 28, there will be two locations or RT-PCR test points for PPLNs who have just landed at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, namely in the international arrivals area of Terminal 3 and at the airport. corridor of Terminal 3," said Agus Haryadi.

Agus Haryadi added, "With the addition of the RT-PCR location on the curbside, we hope that the international arrival process can run more smoothly amid the increasing trend of PPLN arrivals."

Especially for PPLN with the Student, ASN, and PMI categories, the RT-PCR test sample collection is carried out at the Athlete's House or the location determined by the COVID-19 Task Force.

Meanwhile, on March 27, 2022, there was a queue for PPLN to perform RT-PCR in the international arrivals area, due to an increase in PPLN arriving, especially at 14.00 - 17.00 WIB.

Handling has been carried out, so that PPLN can undergo international arrival procedures.

In addition to the addition of RT-PCR test locations on the curbside, health personnel for RT-PCR sampling will also be added to avoid long queues.

Agus Haryadi said PPLN arrivals through Soekarno-Hatta Airport currently average around 5,000 people every day.

"AP II and stakeholders including the Air Task Force for COVID-19 Handling and airlines always coordinate to make various adjustments to ensure health protocols can be carried out properly. AP II is ready to support various facilities and personnel to ensure that the implementation of the PPLN implementation guidelines according to regulations can run well. All airline passengers are required to implement proper health protocols, in particular maintaining distance, wearing masks, and washing hands frequently."
